Gage turned the BIG "1" on SUper BoWl SunDay!! HaPpY BiRtHdAy BUd!!! What a FUN addition to Our Family He's Been!! We were all pumped to let him at is Birthday Cake and so was he until he grabbed the candle and burnt him before we were done singing. We couldn't get the little guy to touch it. I even tried for 3 days after and every time I put the cake in front of him, he would break out in tears and crawl away. . . It was so sad.

I must admit, this is a hilarious case of deja vu! Our youngest daughter Brooke did this 'exact' same thing on her first birthday. It happened so fast and the cry was a delayed reaction, so we started laughing until she started crying. Though painful for her at the moment, it is a memory we all look back on with fond memories!
